SGA President

Every year, the current SGA president shares an endorsement before the election, and I am proud to endorse Varsha for SGA president.

Over the past semester, I have been able to see Varsha’s dedication and passion. She adds a flair to the room that helped lighten the mood going into Spring semester. In each meeting she approaches discussions in a calculated, honest manner and overall adds value to the group. Varsha is an amazing leader who supports the people around her. She is someone who can accurately assess multiple sides of a situation and respond accordingly.

I could list the responsibilities and how I think she would do, but it’s more important how an SGA president balances these responsibilities with the rest of their life. I knew of Varsha before we met. Everyone who mentioned her talked about how great she was and how well she seems to manage her activities and priorities. From getting to know her, I see that she works hard, but knows when her limit has been reached.

The final thing I will say is about the future of SGA. During Preview Days, I was talking with students who were curious about the elections. They asked about the candidates and expressed that seeing Varsha’s posters and website inspired them to consider getting involved with SGA whether or not they choose Middlebury.

Varsha has been through good, bad, and rough moments with SGA. I believe that she can continue to lead Middlebury through good moments and respond appropriately when times are difficult. I am proud to endorse her.
